A question about the paddles.... i know they have a feature that stops you changing up too early, where you get "shift denied" come up on the screen.

Are they meant to have the same feature when down changing ?
Paddle shift is like manual for dummies. Can't get it wrong.

I like the paddles when highway crusin'. Come up behind a slower car....drop 1 or two cogs...
wait for a gap...then pump it. Select a lower cog if necessary....ie...gap closing fast.
Beats the hell outta pumping the throttle and wondering what gear is selected.
Great fun through the hills and twisties too. My wife's Lancer has them as well.
Very useful to get the revs where you need them to overtake.
