ok, here is a update,

while at tafe, i showed my little design to my tafe lecture, it's all good, execpt for one problem,
the flamin transistor

im using a bc557 type transistor to switch, it's a pnp switch, so it's the right type, but the transistor is just not doing the job it's ment to, i will keep working on this guy,s dont you worry, i expect to have it all sorted out in the near future

Perhaps a bc337 would be better if the bc557 is failing due to too much current being drawn?

Hi, I am new to these forums :wave:

I have recently purchased a 86 VL SL.

I am interested in any info on the diagnostic interface plug and the data protocol, levels, and codes that can be used to communicate with the ECU via this plug.

I have found plenty of info in these forums and on the net for models VN onwards.

Any info/help would be greatly appreciated
