Hi all,
My son (a first year electronics apprentice) thought it would a fantastic surprise to mod my instrument cluster (colored led's) while i was away at work.... he bought a kit off ebay and proceeded to pull my pride and joy apart. Problem is, when he had finished installing all the new led's he hooked up a variable external power supply without checking the output volts. Needles to say, 40 volts was enough to fry the board. I love him but i could kill him :boxing: Anyway, i work away from home and my car is not used much and has only 47000k's on it. The question is if i purchase a secondhand cluster from the wreckers are the k's stored on the board or elsewhere such as the BCM or ECU, i dont really want a board that has 150000 or more k's on it. Any help or info would be great. Cheers.
