Currently trying to replace front rotors and pads ( slotted DBA040S & Repco extreme pads)

Cannot seem to press the new rotor onto the old hub.....only thing I haven't tried is a big boi rattle gun, which I don't have!

Tried just to bolt everything up, but caliper was super difficult to get on so I can only assume the rotor needs to go on a couple of mm further onto the hub, which I can't seem to do...

Any ideas?
  • Need the big rattle gun?
  • Hubs are too worn?
  • cry?

For the vs or the vt? Both different part numbers

Shouldn't need to press on. Me thinks you have rotors to suit VS hubs. which have a slightly smaller shoulder where the rotor sits over the hub or you need to clean up the rust and debris that builds up on the hubs over time.

I'm wondering in the rotors are around the wrong way? That will stop them going back about 4-5mm. Which is why I asked for a photo.

Will try...anything in particular?

DBA040S....everywhere I have checked says they are compatible with VY

DBA040S....everywhere I have checked says they are compatible with VY........have cleaned up...but they do have a small shoulder, but no different to what they are replacing...

Video's I have looked at on Youtube show people rattling them on with a few nuts prior to assembly of caliper, and they lock on

How can a rotor go on the wrong way? Couldn't see a "left" or "right" printed on boxes...

it's like they have to go on a few more millimeters, but I only have a small rattle gun

Post a photo of the rotor sitting on the hub as far as you can get it like it is now.
