Any suggestions on the correct method of doing a VE V6 (LY7) compression test???

I’ve got the upper intake manifold off & thought I’d give the engine a comp test as she’s done 250K

Same way you’d do any engine I would assume. Pull all the plugs so the engine free spins with no compression, remove the fuel pump relay, whack on your pressure tester and start crankin.

Yep and just don't go WOT like you would on an earlier bus. If you do you can set a code because of the way the TB is set up.

Not a problem with the alloytec as your removing the inlet manifold anyway so you don’t need to press the throttle.

You normally only do a wet test if your dry test is out of spec (low compression). If your in spec on the dry test there’s no need to do a wet test.

Is it still important to turn the motor over the same amount of times for each cylinder?

I normally just crank it for 5 seconds or so.
