I've had an Xforce, 1 3/4 headers, 3inch cats into 2.5inch cat back system on my SS for a few months now. Starting to get a little bored of the sound.

Any ideas to get the car a little louder?

Would hot dogging or deleting the rear mufflers make much of a difference?
Or would I need to get illegal and start touching cats to get a louder sound?

Also, side note, if I were to go the rear mufflers delete route, can someone recommend some muffler deletes that bolt up to Xforce exhaust?

Thanks

Do you have an OTR intake? Will make it louder.

Any rear that bolts up to the factory centre will bolt to the X Force, that part doesn't change, but I would leave the rears and change the centre. If it has a muffler in the centre, remove that and have 2 hotdogs fitted.

Those replies made me giggle

@Not_An_Abba_Fan Thanks for the response. I do have a VCM OTR fitted.

I've got hotdogs at the centre already. Would removing straight piping the centre do much?

And it's not loud enough? Well, you really do hate your neighbours...

Take the X pipe out and straight pipe that bit.

It'll make it sound like total culo imo. All flappy and gross.

I'd put the biggest doggies you can fit in the centre, a H pipe close to the point where the two sides merge into the centre section, and E1 bimodals or a vacuum actuated exhaust cutout at the back. Connect the bimodals/cutout to any of the vacuum lines after the intake manifold either using a tee into an existing line, a drilled and tapped 1/8 npt port or an IM spacer with ports.

That way you won't get the drone at low RPMs that custom exhausts usually get but you also get all that delicious rorty noise when you stomp on the loud pedal.

Would I have to take it to an exhaust shop for that where they'll do some welding? Or can I buy some straight pipes for that bit that bolt on?
