I just rang Bob Parkes Muffler City, and he's going to ring the distributors down South to get a price for me. It's a XForce Dual 3" Cat Back System with Varex Mufflers That'd be wicked to have, especially if cops are around

I know a few blokes who fitted the Varex systems to their VE SSVs and they didn't keep them on for very long. The note they produce isn't that crash hot. But each to their own though, you might like the sound. I'd strongly suggest listening to one in person before you hand over your hard earned, and if possible a car that has the same mods as yours.

The hardest problem I'm having is finding someone who has only had the Cat Back System done. Everyone seems to have had exractors and cats done, which doesn't give me a good indication of what it would sound like

Well, I've just read a few other exhaust threads on here and now I'm seriously f*cking unsure.

Some people go on Di Filipo, some say Pacemaker's, some say XForce...

The biggest problem is, you won't know what it sounds like until you get it fitted. And I don't know about some people, but I don't have the $$$ to spend on several different exhausts until I find one that I like.

And as I stated above, it's hard to know what just a Cat Back System would sound like as the majority of people have changed their Cats and Extractors and have an CAI...

In all honesty, I'm really getting frustrated with what to do... might just go and buy an 2010 XR6 Turbo and be done with it

well id start with cat back...if your not happy with that than mayb extractors and hi flow cats but for a v8 i would say cat back will give you all the noise you want and need i think extractors are more so for peformance and so called fuel economy etc

In all honesty, the more I research the XR6 Turbo... the better it seems.

It pushes harder than the SS and plus it's turbo charged
