Having a problem with a VT. The car hasn't been driven in years, so this may have contributed to the problem. The indicators are not stopping by themselves after completing a turn. Sometimes one will come good for a while, but the problem just isn't going away. Have tried cleaning them and using WD40. On occasion, one of them does that rapid click you get when you're missing a globe.
Any suggestions?

Edit: Ok, further searching suggests it could be the cancel cam. What does a VT cancel cam look like?

A new stalk should fix it.

I thought the cancelling cam thing was predominantly a VS problem?

Yes the switch is the same. However the cancelling cam is on the steering wheel and wasn't a problem until VS. I didn't think the problem remained with introduction of the VT?

To fix the issue on the VS people used to fit a VR one. I sold my spare cam to a member on here a few years ago.

I know what you mean now. The vt canceller is on the clockspring.
Yeah the VS cam was the problem child.

Unfortunately the stalks are at that age where they are starting to break. Gen are NLA, which is a shame because aftermarket ones are junk.
