injectors the same between vs v8 and vn/vp v8?

Seems my mates 5ltr VR has the 931 injectors from a VT - VY V8...

any issues with the 931 injectors in your mates vr 5ltr, what kind of setup is he running

It runs rich.
Everything is totally standard, except for a stage 3 crow cam.
I've regraphed his Dizzy and advanced the timing to about 15degree's. It still has a little bit of trouble starting though.

the 931's flow a lot more then the standard injectors causing the engine to run rich right through the entire fuel map. if you adjusted the tune then it would be fine

Yeah I know it would be.
He needs a tune anyway as we just fitted a manual gearbox.
Its got a Stage 3 Crow memcal in it, which is CRAP. Runs rich as fark at idle and leans right out at WOT. When we had the engine out the back of the valves looked as if they've been very hot.

931's operating pressure is rated at 3.5 bar, which may impact how well they work. i think you can run well over the rated operating pressure and it won't effect the spray quality and operation. but im not sure when you run below the rated pressure what effects it could have.

i've no idea what pressure is even being run. The car was purchased as is.

$1300 so my mate isn't too worried.

the EV1 type injectors don't like great variations in fuel pressure. the EV6 style however seem to operate over a much wider range without issue.

for a blown setup EV6 injectors are the go.
