Is that per mth? or year? If its per mth. Thats plenty of data without going over your limit.

There is navigation apps that cost nothing to buy & you can download the app. from apple store or android store. No data is used, once its downloaded. The maps are stored on the phone. So, no data is used.
You can go on line & now & again to download later maps.
Edit. I'd forgotten there is Windows, Wince car head units too. I used to have one. So maybe thats not upgradeable / changeable?
Per year, has unlimited national calls and sms

I use a navman...Power is constantly on with it in my VC.....I mainly use it for my speed, as my speedo reads incorrect.....If I'm looking for a street, I'll punch it in and go from there. Hasn't put me wrong yet.....

My phone....Got NFI how to even get that stuff onto it.....It basically sits in a spot in the car and if someone wants to ring me, it goes through the stereo...And even to get that working, I had to get my niece to set it up and show me how it works... :)

If I'm in my VY, a good old street directory works for me.....The cigarette lighter keeps blowing fuses and I can't be fagged sorting that problem out, so the old fashioned way for me in that car

Gunna have to start looking at other plans and providers. LOL.
Data is f...ing expensive in NZ, especially on "casual plans".
I use a 2 Degrees SIM when I'm over there and just keep topping it up when needed.
Download maps (and other stuff) on the 2 degree free data hour, or when I'm in the bank, library, office warehouse etc. and use offline later.
80 GB a month with Optus in Australia for $40 a month (this is a sunsetted plan).

VZ Crewman, VZ Cross 8, & ya mum.
It’s all we use for navigation.
Apple CarPlay in the Crewman (and Cross8) and Santa Fe.
We don’t use the Santa Fe navigation.

Google Maps the whole way. Always relevant. Always the most detailed.

Linked into Siri, it takes seconds with the press of a button to ask it for a location and get the navigation happening.

Has speed limits and in the Santa Fe, the Apple CarPlay Google maps navigation links into the heads up.

I pay $30 a month prepaid and have 200g in my databank. If Telstra allowed more in my databank I'd probably have 500g.
I use Telstra mobile data intensively. Even driving around listening to music and using navigation or just having the feature passively going on the split screen with music, I still roll over my data month on month.
$30 a month for 10gig is plenty.
