Key not come out

My comedore 2007, i stopped the car and put it Park but the key is not coming out. When i press the brake pedal i can hear the latch but when i want to remove the key i cannot. The car can be started normal but you cannot remove the key

My wife had a similar issue with her ford escape, i found out it was not going into park properly to remove the key, had to push a bit hard on the gear stick for it could go into park, the fix wAs to adjust gear shifter linkage, i know its a ford but could be the same type of issue

This has been an issue with some G8s here in the US. The G8Board has a thread on solutions. <Key stuck in ignition. - Pontiac G8 Forum: G8 Forums - G8Board.com>. I know I replaced one of the relays in the kick panel fuse box, but no longer remember which one of them it was.

The Australian version don't have the park lock key thing it was only the export ones that had it so have a look at the above post for the U.S. Solution As we might not be able to help you on that one hope you get it sorted
