I have one dyno printout from a year ago it made 206rwkw the dyno sheet can be found in my ride thread. That was with 2.55" pulley, before intake, porting, insulator, a 40% reduction in intercooler piping (long piping causes significant drop in psi) and this was with standard auto which was slipping badly. Has had shift kit fitted since.

Havnt touched up the tune yet but is expected to make at least 20rwkw more.

Also going on soon is a larger u bend and ls1 tb. And ported blower. Then will get a retune and see how much more it makes.

And there are a dozen 12 sec l67s with 300rwhp. Have a look at l67 torque there are heaps of guys that will tell you the same.

I was originally a ford man too. This is my first holden, and i really like it.

If it a V6 (holden) you still wont get into the 12's with the it. LOL

How much does a l67 and box sell for?

Depends, I have seen many around 2K for complete engine, box, loom and ECU/PCM.

You really don't need the box loom or ECU. All you really need is the engine and some one to do you a memcal.

I cant see how a 1400kg car with just 300hp will do a 12second quarter. Id say more like 13-14-15second quarters.

Not just weight, traction, gears. I will have to eat my words a bit and say that it could potentially run a 12.9 so technically a 12.

But its more comments like: "my commodore has 300rwhp with only speculation to back up the claims. Equations like: "well it had XXX horsepower before but now it has blah mace wood added so it makes XXX now" dont exist in the real world.


On paper engines ALWAYS make more hp than they do in reality
