BUMP... looks like I get to join the infamous 'rear diff club' 
75,000kms on the clock - 2018 ZB RS V6 - 3 months shy of warranty expiration...
Started with a slight hissing noise from the rear (under hard acceleration) and a grinding/vibration from what felt like the drivetrain (most noticeable when cold, at slow speed and turning corners), initially diagnosed as just needing to replace the rear diff seal, but during seal replacement, ended up requiring a entire new diff!!! all this within the space of 3 months or so.
I'm counting my lucky stars it shat itself under warranty. hope the new diff lasts longer than 80,000kms
