HI
I am in the processing of changing an LFW engine (donor car is about 2015 VF Commodore and recipient is a 2011 VE Commodore. Initially most research said just a sump change however we have run into a couple of significant differences. The loom connections around the fuse box are completely different. However the other quite significant difference appears to be in the power steering. So the VE Series 2 has hydraulic power steering where as the VF motor has this missing altogether.
A bit more research seems to indicate that the VF has electric power steering!!!! Has anyone got any insights on this please. The job is certainly turning out a lot bigger than just a sump swap. Thanks
