fixed it. took 2 minutes! ahh, the satisfaction of not letting holden charge 90 bucks for a 2 minute job.

Grrr, i still cant get mine out, im using a screw driver, pushing on the section (square hole), but it aint budging.

lol, i always have a laugh when i read a thread about "that little door"...

Probably thr most common and ANNOYING lil thing that goes wrong in the VT and VX's!!

Tried again, wont budge, i may have to do ti the long way...

I been pushing on the area where the red arrow is, no movement. Pushing in the same direction in the cutout as the arrow.

I just did mine it was a bit hard to get out but you just need to use a bit of force and push in the tab. While pulling it out try and push the tab out the same way if that make sense. I used a screwdriver for the tab

I have to fix mine, that little tool in picture 2 on the first page, is that really needed? I can't see how that releases the clips that hold the part in.
Or is it just pushing it out of its holder. Looks a bit like the old key used on the old lock-down antennas. Going to have a go at mine tomorrow, but a bit concerned about not having that little tool.

the tool isnt needed

as for one of the above people having issues with removal
u need to remove the pin on the left 1st
