Hmmm, I think the two LFX pictures I've posted are actually BCMs.

You will need to source a VE LFX loom, just find 1 to suit your trans type

Ah ok. But I will be able to reuse the ECU and sump from my LLT? Or source those from a VE LFX too?

I’ll be another to confirm. You need the motor. You will be using your looms, sensors and ECM that is currently in the car.

All the advice so far is solid. Take it.

So I won’t need to replace any electronics/ecu/ecm, just the engine itself, swap my LLT sump onto it, get LFX cats and headers, and use my LLT electronics? Or will I need the VE II ECU and loom as vywgn suggested?

The first engine I found fell through but I’ve found a couple others, but both from VFs, so I want to be sure if I need to get any other parts with it.

If you currently have an LLT, then you would already be driving a series 2 VE.

You should be rights just swap the motors over. Integrated headers etc so you’ll need the exhaust bits.

If you start swapping looms and ECM, you are going to enter a world of hurt. It could easily end up like rabbit hole of pain.
