When does the electrician come to wire the hoist?

Not sure, he was supposed to come around to check out the job. I called him a week ago and I'm still waiting. The pendant socket and screw on plug should arrive Monday. I might call him tomorrow as I think he has forgotten.

He wants to check everything before he does the job, in case he needs to bring something. He is pretty much retired and just does small jobs these days but he doesn't carry much stock and he might need some sort of lugs to wire a new cable into the motor.

Just got up and finished the top bracing. I found an 90deg angle bracket in one of my tubs last night. At some point I will dyno bolt the bottom of the post to the slab. At the moment I have x2 500mm 70x45s screwed to the base. No hurry as it will be a long time before it ever gets used, if I ever do. Been a few years since I have pulled an engine and TBH I don't know if I could be bothered anymore, especially considering how little spare time I now have.

You have a hoist. You don’t need to pull an engine anymore. Now you can drop it all out the bottom.

VE also comes apart at the front so you can walk the motor out as well.

When you have car hoist you drop whole front end kit & kaboodle onto ground.

Really smart people will use rolling cradle or pallet & pallet jack to move front end around easier.

Should be youtube clips of how mofo's lucky enough to have car hoist do it lol

Well @losh1971, seems you’re “mofo lucky“. :p:p:p

Me, I’ve just got a jack.
So if I didn’t have bad luck, I wouldn’t have any luck at all :p:p:p
