Depends on how low you want to go...

If you want to keep your tyres for longer than 20,000kms then you won't 'have' to change you shocks (although it probly wouldn't be a bad idea) - about king springs Low/FE2 height, SL
If you want to change your tyres because the inside edge is worn down to steel belts while the outside is still near new - anything from SSL/SSSL, and you 'should' change your shocks to shortened shocks if you go this low...

Rough idea for you, I'm sure they'll be other opinions :p

EDIT: You CAN get camber/toe adjusters (eccentric bushes) that will 'help' out with the tyre wear, 'apparently'... When I had my VT with SSSL in it, the camber kit did two fiths of **** all... Lucky to have tyres on the back for 20,000kays ;)

yeah, tyre wise i would go the sl option....it doesn't help that Holden seem to have this unwritten law that if toe is adjustable then camber isn't. You said it was a vt so there is no rear adjustment for toe or camber. so the best you can hope for is that a camber kit does something for once rather than just chew a hole in your wallet.

man forget the camber kit, you can swap the rear IRS out with a VX series 2 to the last of the VY's IRS, they have the 3rd control arm so you don't get the nasty VT scrub on the inside of your tires when you lower it, thats what im doing anyway, go to a wreaker and see whats laying around =) hope this sorta helps ...

Camber kits work, but are very expensive.

I'm setting up with, lovells SL-UL, on kyb shocks, and 4 point camber kit. IT will sit nice and low without that stupid / \ look. It will have slight rake in park, then level out once driving. The guys i go to specialise in one thing only, suspensions.

My car will sit pretty much similar to this. Tire wear will be as good as it can get. Can't ask for much more then that.
