misfiring?

Extractors and a new fan belt made a difference in my car when i first brought it, but it's a shame u dont have the tools to do the job.

found a wicked crack in manifold so now im thanking myself for booking it in for extractors... this would explain power loss and subaru like sound yeah?

In the inlet or exhaust manifold ?

i suck with the names of parts.... the part that will be replaced with extrectors and joins to exhuast under the car (from what i know) so exhuast manifold?

You need the manifold for your carby you would be replacing the exhaust head "what i call it" with extractors.

ok the exhaust head has a massive crack in it and i think when i blasted it with water i opened it up more or at least unclogged it does that sound likely to cause a "misfire" like sound as its losing half its pressure at the crack and half coming out the back? it definately explains where my power went.

If u have a mig welder and a grinder u could do the job yourself mate "the extractor job"

nah absolutely no tools around here just not enough room! its booked in for friday having "advance" extractors put on (good brand at all?) $450 and the guy will take a look at everything else whiles he's in there as hes a mechanic also... good guy

yeah the guy is a top bloke and super local just around the corner... ive had my last cars exhuast done there and hes looked and helped me out with my car whenever ive needed it. thanks for the advice i will have him look at the timing etc
