After seeing this, it seems to break down this way:

3 Channel is ABS only
4 Channel on V6 RWD and V8 models is ABS/TC
4 Channel on V6 AWD models is ABS/TC/ESP

apollo13 would have to confirm if his Thunder has a Traction Control button. If not, he has the same ABS module as a Crewman.
4 channel on V8 AWD model.

Did the unicorn 6Ltr VZ’s made at the end of production, did they have a 6 speed auto? I’m sure someone can clarify that. I’m fairly sure they were still the 4spd.
All of them had the 4spd auto... The 6spd auto was introduced with the VE...

So that would mean the only cars that had the Steering Angle sensor were the Adventras.

I don’t think Adventras had steering angle sensors either.

They share most of the steering, steering wheel, rack with other Commodores.

I didn’t see any Adventra steering angle sensors looking for parts or part numbers for you.

I’ll go through the factory manual later today, after work to clarify.

Here's the sensor shown in the Service Manual.

Here's the connector for it:

Here's a breakdown of what it looks like internally. From what I understand, it's a Bosch part.

Here is where it attaches to the clockspring body, underneath the clockspring itself. You can see the recessed holes where it mounts. Maybe it only came with certain clocksprings? It also may be on '06 Adventras, and there weren't too many built.

There is parts that will bolt to the back to have two channel rear.

The V6 RWD with just the one line in and split to left and right along the diff. Bracket comes down from near the spring mount.

This is AWD LS1 with two lines. (AWD V6 will be the same) One line for left and one for right.
(Sway bar was not originally on the car and is dummied up for now)

This has the bracket in a different spot on the chassis but the AWD chassis has the holes there for it anyway. They are all the same.

At the very least it would be nice to get those parts. It would make adapting the rear brakes a lot easier.

UPDATE: The VE Steering Angle Sensor is eerily similar in shape to the VZ Steering Angle Sensor. Will soon be conducting an experiment. Details to follow.
