hahaha patrick that may just come in handy ^_^ I'll let you know after I buy the big V8 :p

Meanwhile, Dirby was kind enough to come around and harass me tonight, so we got some stoneguarding done! Cleverly enough he ducked out when it came to doing the underside. Smart man.

Some results! I think I got more on me than on the car:

Also, fuel tank:

But only the underside, because that's all that needs to be done. :)

Second coats for the inside floor and fuel tank + coats for the back of the interior, behind the doors, and inside all the panels will come up over the week.

I have to say, this is one inspirational thread and really nice work Morton. I'll be following the rest of the project here for sure.

Yeah I've been looking at resomat. I rekon I can do the whole floor + firewall + doors for under $500. Yay fun!

They also do a good felt carpet underlay, and a bitumen-compound felt underlay which I'm very interested in. Will call them tomorrow!

My heat shields arrived today, and I primed the back of the interior, so I took one picture to cover both stories.

I plan to use the heat sheets to deflect heat from the transmission and exhaust. It's thick, but flexible enough to manipulate into trans-tunnel-like shapes. :)
