well its a combo of fixing the oil pressure relief valve and putting the cam pack in with a 'touch up' tune, came to 3200....so maybe 2500-3000 rough estimate....he uses comp cams and isn't charging me full price for a tune as i only had a tune done 2 months ago. some places maybe more and some maybe less... I'm not too fussed :) got a good relationship with my tuner now lol

Whats it like with a 3.7 diff? I thoght that a 3.45 was probably the maximum you would want to go with the 6sp auto?.....

yeah a lot of guys say that, and thats the way i was gonna go but my tuner told me i probably wouldn't be happy with the 3.45 so i went the 3.7 and am pretty happy :) a shade over 2000 at 110, and quiet quick to 100k if your good at keeping wheelspin to a low! my tyres are shot so next week ill get some rear rubber and hopefully the smile gets a bit bigger :) but yeah if your looking at the change yourself def go for it, picks up revs real quick!

Cheers for the feedback mate. I might reconsider the 3.7s then.....
I currently have the stock 2.92 diff in my VE Calais & was looking to upgrade. I just thought the 3.45s would be the go & i hadnt
really heard of anyone going 3.7s in an auto.
What was the stock ratio in your ute?
I remember changing to 3.9s in my old VT SS 6sp & it was one of the best mods i did....

2.92 were what was in mine man....its each to their own, I've seen people even say the 3.27 is enough! if i had my time again i may even consider 3.9! with the auto you don't reeeeeaaaaallllllllyyyyy have to worry about first being too short as it changes for you :) i get around 60 in first just under 100 in second and around 140 in third, gets there quicker than when stock lol, I'm pretty apply with the ratio hey.... do it there are only a few of us 3.7 boys out there lol ;)
