My 1990 VN Calais

G'day Guys,

First time poster here! After nearly 2 years of not owning a commodore (or a car for that matter) I managed to get my hands on a 1990 VN Calais for $500 from my mate.

At the moment my priority is getting her roadworthy and registered which shouldnt take much; new front shocks, a battery and some headlight globes (hopefully thats all). Also needs a good scrub!

I am picking her up tomorrow night. Stoked to be a commodore owner again! lol

Anyways, here are some pics. Sorry they're not real flash, my galaxy s2's camera isnt the best. I will upload better ones when I get the car.

Now that you've taken it I can tell you it actually needs 2 head gaskets, an inlet manifold gasket, a tourque converter seal, a fuel pressure regulator, an ecu and a heater tap.

Haha nah mate just kidding. The heater taps fine!

Haha thanks dude. I think the fuel pressure reg really does need replacing. I could smell petrol when I got home and found it was from the reg. Oh well. It is a vn after all haha

haha I will cheers mate! They are pretty comfy. So much better than my work car lol might as well not have seats in that thing.

Haha we should have one. you may aswell have all the vn bits if you want? A couple of spare manifolds and stuff. Up to you homes. There's a ceased block or 2 if you want them aswell lol.

If only I knew, you could have had the VN calais seats out of the VS when I got rid of it.
