I have order the flip coin cover as seen on higher models to smooth out the look of the dash.
About $60 all up.
This is what I'm talking about.

I just had a minor proof of concept, showing that my steering wheal controls will be able to control the iPad.

I would have loved to install my iPad in the car but it looks like a PITA lol

nice man i have no ####ing clue how to get into the wiring of the ipad to steering wheel lol besides the goin through aftermarket hea unit and looks great
