Where is the Neutral safety switch locates on a 96, series 2 vs commodore column shift automatic?
Cant find it on the steering column

Cant find it on the steering column
Assume you pulled the column shrouds off to see? VR had them on the column, not far from the lever on the top side.

Yeah, dont have the plastics anyway. Shes a no start but i know the neutral safety switch is bad so ill start there

Tried finding a photo, I don't think they changed the location on VS Series II. It's hidden pretty well. You're looking for a blue and white round case.

Have you unbolted the shift leaver? You won't see it until you do IIRC.

If you have vs, maybe its on the left of the trans, same as @lout suggested. Thats were it is on the vt.
OP has a column shift. Pretty sure they were still on the column in Series II.

Im gonna go with its on the transmisson somewhere, can it be replaced from underneath without moving anything major?

think i should also add its a engine and trans out of a vx, know their slightly different.

Well that might be a problem. Is the column linkages connected to the VX trans because the VX and early transmission with column are quite a bit different and are not interchangeable. In fact I didn't think a VX trans would even work in a VS?
