I think I'm leaning towards the SoundStream Trx 2.820 for $500 (I found a cheaper one on ebay).
It'll give it 250 per channel.

Or theres the Rockford T600.2 for $542.

Which would be a better option?

Edit: The Rockford is only 200x2. Think I'll go with the Soundstream one then.

question, is there really that big a difference in sound quality having that much headroom? Running my splits off a 4x75w amp and i can't hear any distortion even when ear piercingly loud.

I run my fronts with a 200W x 2 amp, it's been overheating from being run near clipping... Extra power for me will just mean I'm not running my amp so hard.

Plenty mate. Hmm might suss out how warm my amp gets. I'm guessing you guys probably tend to crank the music a bit louder than I do...

Mine actually cuts out after about 45mins of loud metal or heavy rock.

I don't understand this!!

Well Alberts has let me down, they can't get the car in for me to listen to for the weekend.
But I've asked them why the recommend the Lil Wonder 4.500 amp which is like 80 x 4, they said they wouldn't put more into them. The speakers are rated for 200rms, and I don't think the manufacturer has made lies about the RMS rating, if maybe a little but not 120rms worth. So I don't get it, why would they recommend an amp like that?

I asked them if they would recommend the Soundstream TRX 2.820 and they were like I wouldn't put 800 into them ..... ..... .... wtf?
It's a RMS Power @ 4-ohm: 250W x 2 amp!
