Expand-o-foam is your friend. Put it anywhere there's a gap between panels, squirt it between parcel shelf trim and metal panel. And pity the fool who buys your car when you upgrade.

so i have been told i can fit the compressor/tank next to the sub box and still have access to the spare wheel, oh and yeah i have been interested in rear bags for a while now, so now im just getting quotes, defs don't plan on DIY on the bags but might be able to mount compressor and tank myself, shouldnt be hard at all.

Installing the bags is easier than mounting the compressor and tank.

I did a complete front and rear airbag setup in my last car. It took about 2 days to do it all by myself, apart from a 2 second electrical job.

In other words....just a rear setup would be piss easy.
