no valid lease found...

run the gds2 app from the desktop icon not the vx manager.
once you update the licence you close vx manager and then look for the "GDS2" icon which should be on the desktop and double click that to run gds.
i am not sure about the "no tis available" message as i have not encountered that one but make sure you use the latest software they have for the nano from...
VX Manager V1.8.4 Build 0315
GM VCI Manager

VXDIAG GM GDS2 Software Link 2020.04

OK, so I installed and run in the following order

1)GDS2AutoInstall.exe
2) vcredist_x86.exe
3) The latest VX manager V1.8.4.
4) Updated the license in VX manager
5) updated/installed the drivers in the diagnostic tab
6) ran GDS2 from the desktop icon.

I'm still getting the no lease found. Do I need to run the GM MDI manager that was installed by the GDS2Auto install ?

And I uninstalled Bit Defender as it was shitting me.

It has me stumped why I'm getting the no lease found. I noticed that the GDS2 shortcut is a little different to the videos. The install video shortcut shows GM GDS2.

This is why I didn't purchase a VXDiag, way too 'computery' for me,,, Plus, I'd need to buy a laptop as well.

no you do not need the mdi manager.

go to C:\ and see if you can see GDS2.exe and run that

also try right click it and run as administrator.

the sps is a different to the gds2 app.

the gds2 app is basically pirated and that gds2.exe does a hack on the original gds2 program to fool it into thinking you have a valid license.
if the hack is not working then something it requires is missing.

it needs net framework 3.5 i think, 4.5+ may not work properly

Hooray, no more valid lease error.

Will hook to car tomorrow as I'm tired. Done my head in. Had to kill windefender too. Uninstalled and reinstalled everything, framework 3.5.

Thank you stooge.

You should add an exception to windows rather than killing it otherwise whenever it reenables itself (it does even if you turn it off) it may prevent access again.
On win 10, go to windows security -> virus & threat protection settings -> exclusions (scroll down) then add the GDS2.exe
