No it won't work on any v6 (EDIT:commodore). Cars i have used it on: vy clubsport, vx ss an a 09 JG cruze.

I'm pretty sure v6 speak a obd1 8192 baud rate but the plug is obd2 it's a unique cable you use .I have one for my vr an have used it on a vs,vr an vt v6 works great

I have a 2000 VX Berlina Gen3. Looking at getting one of these soon. Autel MaxiDiag US703 ODBII/EOBD Diagnostic Code Tool. The information about them says that they can turn off engine, transmission, ABS, airbag warning lights. From what i have read here they can read and turn off engine warning lights but can they do the tranny, abs and airbag lights?

I have purchased an Autel AL519 and it wont communicate with my WL V8 Statesman. It SHOULD but doesn't, spoke with a Autel "technician" and he "Dinn no any ting", anyone have experience with these at all?

I would check that the pins in the connections(either car or scanner end) arent bent or broken. Also check the cable itself isn't damaged in some way. all I can think of really. unless they lied in the description about what cars it will connect to.

It is a V6 Executive 4 door sedan with 5 speed getrag box.
The build date off the compliance plate(s) is 16th December 2000.
My previous cars over the years are/were HQ-253 wagon and multiple LC and LJ Toranas.
So I am new to these "computerised cars".
So, newbe needs help.
What scanners / software tools do I need for this car ?
Where do I get them, and what do they cost ?
Supplementary Question.
Are any of these any good to me ? Will they work or not ?
