VEGTS BUILT BLOWN E85
mine was still golden when i was n/a up to about 3-4000km because the inside of my engine was clean, i had some light black at the bottom of the sump and that was it, on tare down all items heads/block crank everything was like it was just fitted to a new engine, this is what a good running engine with proper oil changes can do i had about 37k on the engine total, if the black oil is left in there too long over time it attaches to all surfaces so any new oil goes black quicker as it tries to constantly clean it

Interesting one for the boosted boys!

This is another good reason why a proper working PCV helps your motor in the long run, keep that oil contamination/dilution to a minimum!

Definitely keen to give this a read, saving this for later.

So I’ve been advised to use 5W40, not worries.

So how would 0W40 perform? or 0W50?

Never tried it myself and I wouldn't want to try it in Holden unless you live at the top of Thredbo, or Siberia perhaps. 5W is thin enough for something like minus 25C.
