Hi Stooge

Did you use Solder Paste & hot air or use a soldering iron & solder ?

also seeing that I got 1206 red SMD led would they fit or will i have get 0603

I just used an iron and solder.

and you will need something like this unless you have really good eyes

not sure with the leds they might just fit.
the leds on the radio board are all 3 volt.

but you can measure the leds in your unit and compare them to this.

Have a third hand & this is one of the irons I have, it's great for SMD work

that's the same iron I use, I wired mine upto a 4.5volt power pack so I don't need batteries.

Emailed Matt at DIG today. He said he is expecting the dual zone HVACs in the next two weeks.

my dual zone canbus decoder is in the mail, once I test it and let matt know if it works good you should be able to get the dual zone version from him.

Sounds good. The only thing that stopped me purchasing was that they are currently single zone.

if you don't like the interface/skin you can buy a modded rom/firmware for this radio.
it allows you to choose a few different skins and it is rooted so you can install apps that require root access

NOTE: this does require you to flash new firmware to the radio and if you do it wrong you can stop the radio working!!

and the ve commodore firmware is: M505

the canbus box matt sent didn't work, it may have been faulty just waiting on matt to reply so I'm stuck using the single zone hcm still.
