I'm curious to your issue, it wouldn't of been surprised if we had the same issue as i have heard purge valves are common to fail.
Would really love to find out what you're issue is.
Does not being able to blow through the purge valve indicate a good valve?
From what I've read most are solenoid valves, so should be closed with no power.
I've pulled and inspected every hose, only thing that seems a bit strange is the breather hose on the passenger side that plumbs into the intake. Seems to be blowing a lot of air, but might be normal.
The LTFT is a bit lower now but now have rough idle when cold, seems to miss a bit but fine after a minute or so. Didn't have time to do what I wanted, next weekend perhaps.

Don't have the info now but wife's car has MAF sensor on top of intake, mine is in front of intake tube.
Two different components,

MAF (Mass Air Flow) sensor. In front of intake tube.

MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) sensor. Top of intake manifold.

Period.

What I was trying to say is on the older commodore the MAF sensor sits on top of the air intake tube, on mine it's horizontal on the side of the intake tube and are different. Both cars have the MAP on top of the intake manifold at the back.

Yeah your car has the eight wire MAF and the older one will have a five wire MAF, not interchangable unfortunately.
