I made a mess of the camera install in the first instance.
The ebay seller sent me a hole saw to do the job.
I wanted to make the hole below and to the right of the number plate.
I put down masking tape etc and started the drilling.
The bloody hole saw went all over the place and became blunt after not too many turns.
The surrounding paint was buggared.
I made a temp fix.
Now that I have the time to fix it, I have two choices, get the boot lid re-painted or lay some carbon fibre in the area where the number plate is fitted.
I have decided to go with the carbon fibre first and see how it looks.
I have bought 4mm wide chrome molding to cover the edge of the bottom and side cuts.
If that don't work, a spray job or new lid are the only options.
Funny enough, I did the same thing (carbon Fibre) on my last vehicle, an Outlander and that looked great when finished.
What are your opinions?
