As I said, you made it sound like you think wheels 1" too big and cars 10db too loud are ok. There's no problem with what you thoughts are, just stop trying to back pedal when others question you.

I dont see the issue with a car that is slightly over the 90 db limit.

Lets face it. A car with an aftermarket exhaust is not dangerous. Id much rather the plod getting the car that hasnt seen a hoist in 10 years off the road rather than a bloke with an exhaust.

I cant believe this thread is still going.... but from the poll on the Adelaide Now website..

Is this a reasonable penalty - or sneaky revenue-raising?

i was just thinking of this old cadillac i owned (73 coupe) had a little brake like indicator above the back window in line with the rear view mirror. has 2 little red glowing dots so if one of both of your lights are out you can see it in your mirror. its one legal mod you can do to your car that will actually benefit you... as for the cops youd be surprised how a little respect and kindness will go a long way. you still may get a ticket but trust me a bad attitude will only put petrol on the fire, and a fire in your wallet. plus im nice by default cause in the states (my mother country) the cops will crack you skull for raising an eyebrow at them. they do traffic stops with their holsters unsnapped ;)

edit: there fiber optic indicators so no messing about with electricity...
