Need more information, what car do you have?
Won't work on VN/VP/VR/VS(all), VT 5.0L or v6, VX/VY v6 as none of these are obdII protocol.

Suggestions are something that support General Motors ALDL protocol:
Envious Customs
Make Your Own
Or a Tech2 with Aus card

Yeh i seen this at sc other dsy. But since it wont work on vt 5.0L its no.good to me. Would be useful for newer car owners though....

This is the only suggestion. If you have a windows laptop.
By far the best option for a commodore. Also can reset airbags that no other cheap option can with additional software for $50.
I have to used my cable and software on multiple commodores with no problems.

yer I brought a tool it works on my vz tried it on a mates vt 6 and it didn't work now I know why

I'll second that. Bought one of those, installed on my netbook, brilliant tool, has helped me sort a couple of issues. Will definitely buy an upgrade that looks at whole body systems if it comes up
