Yeah that was a bad call. Quite literally any other name, even the ZB hemorrhoid would have been better with the public, especially not being built here.

A big percent of the remaining Commodore purchase base at the end was the Nomads/Baby Boomers who had known nothing else but Kingswoods/Commodores etc for most of their driving life and was buying the cars purely out of loyalty to the brand. Was an insult to them importing something with the same name plate, they put a lot of those buyers on the wrong foot immediately.
At least Ford had the decency to retire the Falcon nameplate once Australian production ceased. Even though the Falcon was originally an American nameplate.

u cant ''make'' a commodore since the 80's and then with the last run put a badge on something alse and call it a commodore, should have just ended it and then even kept the cruze going as a medium replacement for it as they did sell good once they were made here (not the china made ones) holden dont seem to do anything now days had a call at work asking if we could program the cluster VIN to match in a VE as the car is at holden or GM what ever they are now as they can not do it ???? WTF are they even operating for even still under GM and cant program a cluster VIN

Calling it a Cruze would be a bad idea, since this nameplate is associated with recalls... What they should've called it was the Holden Insignia (They tried to bring them here as Opels, then as Holdens and then as Holdens again)

i was meaning just keeping the cruze as it is a different smaller vehicle, the commodore should have just ended with the home made commodore, same as what ford did with the falcon

Apparently there was a reason for the clocks jumping forward... I think it was something to do with battery voltage though I'm not too sure...
Would be nice to know if there was ever a fix for it
