Any reason why a catch can could'nt be plumbed up to the PCV line on the passengers side of a 07 SV6 LY7 motor.
If the PCV on the drivers side is the outwards venting line, why would the passengers side inwards breathing line the one before the throttle body have oil in it?

Elite bracket couldn't attach to recommended engine cover post as it is rivetted not screwed.

Light bar gives great fill close to car.

Wildlife grazing on road edge much easier to spot. ;=0

LED DRLs also just visible in last thumbnail.

Umm I am pretty sure you mount it on the same side as the LFX where the ECM is located. A mate of mine has a 2011 SV6 series 2 with the LLT SIDI engine and that's where he's is mounted. You might have the wrong PCV hose. I'll see if I can get him to post up a pic.

Pcv valve is on drivers side @ back of rocker cover

Just fitted a catch can to my SV6 2008 Its a Saikou Michi CO After about 2,000ks had about 10 mls of oil in can. My litres per 100ks has gone from 11.4 down to 8.4 best thing I have done the Inlet manifold had always have oil In the plastic tubing and throttle body. The motor has done 57,400klms. This catch can has a baffle Inside the can the company make to order approx $80.00 each plus postage cheaper if buying more than one.Their email address Is [email protected]

Awesome reduction in fuel economy , if that's consistent with highway running should be well into the 5s/100km worst case 6s (4cyl territory). I am looking at fitting a dual saikou michi , after reading about the LLTs in the U.S Camaros , they are seeing oil from the pcv coating the intake manifold & backs of valves , they are also seeing oil in the air intake tube between the cold air box & the throttle body - hence why there's a big "sump" just before throttle body .
I was curious & removed the tube & there was approximately 10-15ml of oil in the air intake tube "sump" but no oil residue on throttle body butterfly (80,000km car), word is at high revs or if pcv system pressurises then the ''clean'' pipe pressure reverses & dumps oil into the intake tube rather than just coming from the pcv in the drivers side rocker cover into the intake manifold just after the throttle body , seen a website do a Dyno test on a ricer with turbo & they picked up a bit of power - minimal around 1-2hp from memory , this was apparently due to no oil or other crud diluting the fuel octane . I have looked at a few catch cans & a few names keep popping up - Saikou Michi , Mike Norris Motorsports , Elite & RX
Anyone have any recommendations & reasons for recommending ?

Is there a reason why nobody runs the other breather ( as you can see in this picture ) into a catch can ?
