SV6 Upgraded headunit and stero system.

I've been told that the level of stereo is coded to the level of car, ie so that a Calais head unit won't go into a Berlina. What you guys have done here seems to indicate that's not right. Did you have to get anything recoded or did the headunit just work?

What you have been told is not quite right. Yes each stereo is coded to the HVAC unit. But it can be re-coded. I sent my new Calais stereo and HVAC unit to a company to be coded. Got it back and pluged it in, worked perfectly!!!!

VIM = Video in motion.

Holdens screen turns off when the car is traveling faster than around 3kmh.

VIM allows the screen to stay on while you are driving.

The sportswagon is going in tomorrow to have a genuine HSV E2 bar and bonnet fitted.

I wanted the sportswagon to look a bit different. You dont see many HSV E2 sportswagons and I love the look of them.

Yep, this also includes a wiring loom that conects up a sensor to the reverse gear.

It allows the camera to power up and take over control of the screen when reverse is selected.

Cant remember. I do remember that the better cameras were the CMOS ones.

I got my camera from Auto One for around $200.

No limits can supply the whole kit if needed.

New front end looks tidy i will be doing the same thing to my ute have you found all the acc like lights etc grills.
Also in the second picture the lights dont look like they fit the bar are the series 1 to series 2 lights different ?

Once re-programmed the SIC display shows battery voltage but the oil pressure gauge does not read anything.
Have to managed to get this issue resolved ?

Yep got all the lights, gravel tray, air intake and wiring looms. All painted and fitted up. Fits perfectly and looks awesome!
