Watch an episode of Home and Away & you would be forgiven for thinking it was a Kiwi show :)

Holden was killed by installing a weak 3.0 engine into heavy VE Commodore.

The rest is history.

I do agree that Aussie should have had the right to buy back land and the name at bargain basement prices from GM.
The government should only give companies land on a lease. If the company moves on the land is repossessed by the government with no consideration given.

Why should Holden, Ford. etc make money selling the land they were given for free by the government back in the day?

If you ever need a really really badly written contract drawn up to be expensive, completely counter productive and lacking all foresight ask the Australian government to write it. Then if you want it rewritten so as to lose even more money and drain the economy further ask the kiwi government to revise it for you.
