We can follow USA’s 2020 lead where 600k died in that country because they waited…. and ignored lockdowns…

To put that USA perspective into our populations context, that would equate to 600k/350m*25m = 42,857 dead, all things being equal… In other words, 42k more would have been dead than what we saw in our first wave and small second wave.

Why people thing lockdowns don’t work is beyond reason… Hopefully Victoria will demonstrate how NSW strategy wi wrong and thus avoid those unnecessary deaths Gladys caused ;)

Life and business would have been sweet had the feds locked down international boarders to all in Jan or Feb 2020. Massive purpose built quarantine facilities could have been constructed by mid 2020 that would have allowed 3 week isolation for a defined intake.

Eradication was totally possible down under, on this big island but for the lack of leadership and vision. So now Vic bounces between lockdown while NSW has a claytons lockdown… How fcuked is that…

But it’s ok cause scomo, who placed big bets on AZ and UQ vaccine, will just give us his smug smile and tell us a few porkies and we’ll all accept deaths are inevitable from COVID and AZ induced TTS

Here is a perfect example of how the feces is able to intersect with the rotary oscillating device.
An unsuspecting but far from innocent infected fool ignores Sydney stay at home orders, applies for a G2G pass and flies to Launceston via Melbourne without the pass being approved. He would have been refused if he had tried boarding a ferry in Melbourne without a pass, but apparently the Airlines don't bother to check if passengers have them. Queue finger-pointing and buck-passing.

The infectious idiot's ignorantly applying manually for authorisation to enter Tasmania on arrival meant he was detected and isolated, Covid tested the next day, but flew back to Sydney the following day before receiving the positive test result. Phew, Tasmania may have dodged a Covid lockdown, depending on the test results of everyone he came into contact with on the plane flight in, at Launceston Airport, in Quarantine, on the way out, etc. (assuming the Tasmanian health authorities have been able trace them all quickly enough). Then again, there are all of those people that were at Sydney Airport and on the flight from Sydney To Melbourne, during the time in transit at Melbourne Airport, those on the flight(s) from Launceston back to Sydney, at Sydney Airport, again. The taxi home or did he take a train or bus?.

One phuckwit, three days, three states, thousands of potential infections.

We need to start treating interstate borders like international, proper screening like customs to avoid this until we have at least 80% of the population vaccinated.

Yep, multiple failures buy both businesses and governments.

I’d have different rules… Any arriving passenger without approved docs should be immediately quarantined for 14 days and tested, only to be released after 14 days and a negative day 13 test… Airlines (or passenger ships, trains, even private vehicle drivers) that allow their passenger to arrive without approved passes will be billed for the cost of quarantining that passengers and for the subsequent removal post quarantine release. Yes, when it’s safe, I’d be sending these fcukers back…

I don’t know of any person that would want such inconvenience or any business that would want such cost? Sound harsh but it would work at getting people to follow the laws.

(Wouldn't be so different to the pre COVID scenario where international airlines were on the hook for cost of sending people without valid visas back where they came from)

So if we are all in this together as our not-so-great leaders keep telling us, why did the Tokyo Olympics go ahead.
Thousands of athletes, support crews, local drivers, cooks, cleaners, hotel staff, many thousands of people from all over the world, including China, all mingling together.
2 1/2 weeks before kick off the Japanese PM called a 'state of emergency'

Talisman Sabre 21, happening now in Oz, 17,000 participants from 7 nations plus all the support people also involved with this

1 million + average Aussies in harsh lockdown while these elites get to travel around playing games, war games and Olympic games.
In addition to all these 'special people' who can travel the world and mingle around, there are about 34,000 Aussies stranded overseas who can't get home.

Seems like different rules for different people. It's the average joe, working class citizen who is making all the sacrifices and taking a hit to their wallet.
Our self righteous leaders don;t seem to making any sacrifices that I can see, they are racking billions of $ in debt that our children will have to pay back

Hypocrisy everywhere I look.

Huge $$$$$ at state and those businesses donate to the political parties…
Dead people, cost of doing business…. And remember, death is taxed in many countries :p

As for war games, I’d rather some muscle training and flexing rather than just jumping into all out war. Catching the virus can be mitigated but a bull it to the head… less so

But yep, hypocrisy everywhere which is situation normal for society…

If our world leaders had any integrity and true desire to create a better world for everyone, we wouldn't need war machines.
History continues to repeat generation after generation because we never learn from our past.
That's why I do not commemorate Anzac day because of all the hollow rhetoric from our political and military elites.

If Australia, the USA and Britain spent all their military tax payer money on creating a better world, we could end homelessness in 1 year, in these countries.

But creating a better world for everyone is counterproductive to the agenda of the powerful, who want to maintain their wealth and power to control the peasants.
These fukcers get obscenely rich off our hard work. And we continue to allow this to happen.
What they want are zombie consumers they can control and manipulate, and it appears they are quite skilled at maintaining the status quo.
