Darkest tint legal is 35 grade on the rear windows and 70 grade on the front passenger windows. You're looking anywhere from $190 to $370 dollars depending on the quality of the tint. For the good quality reflective tint thats around $350 for the full car at most places.

Fade Tint?

Has anyone seen the tint (SILVER) how it fades into black does anyone know how that works. i think it looks kinda good

You can get it in any colour to fade to black.

Its a layer of coloured tint, then put a layer of fading black tint over the top.

Its like $700 though.

I am after some BLACK ICE window tint for my ute.

I am after some BLACK ICE(I think this is the correct name) window tint for my ute.

This stuff was popular about 10 years ago .
It looks like multicoloured smashed glass and changes colour in the sun...
It appears to be a clear film and is placed on the windows and then tint is applied behind.
I am after enough to do my VR ute.(at least - i would like more)

Any help in tracking some down is appreciated...

Give some good custom tint places a call.

It sounds like a version of coloured tint. All coloured tint involves a layer of coloured tint, with a clear layer over the top to prevent scratching etc. etc.

just had a look can do red to black, red to silver, green to black, green to silver, blue to black, blue to silver, black to silver

How much? And its 2 coats right? As in a colour film and then a clear film of tint over that?

Because the coloured film is not scratchproof.
