hey daz, ive got the 3" SSteel cat back on a VF SSV auto, and it doesnt drone thats for sure......

i definitely know what drone is because i put a 3" mild steel x-force cat back on my VE auto and it droned like a mofo going up hill but not cruising.......

also i dont know if the engine management changes mixtures or if its just the carbon but it does get better in sound, so give it time and also time for you to get used to it Daz

Thanks Motaba, it has dulled off a bit today so I'll give it some time. And Jet Perth postage was $38. They're in Perth too.

Ultrex is a trade supplier for me and i wanted to see if theres anything i could do for forum members but once postage is added to eastern states theres bugger all in it

Just an update on mine. I took it to an exhaust shop that Ultrex send people for fitment to just to check mine over. Turns out one rear muffler is very hollow like its lost it's glass and the centre muffler is the same while the other rear is solid sounding. Pete at the exhaust shop was very honest and helpful. He hasn't seen any Ultrex systems do this before and rates them highly but between him and the supplier (Rob) a new system is going on....great service. And no I'm not going insane imagining drone that's not there lol it's why it droned.
