URGENT: HELP PLEASE, VX V6 question

Wondering if anyone can offer some quick info.

Sister in law just ran over something in a Westfields carpark in her VX V6 and has lost all engine oil, im assuming hole in sump? Questions are:

1. Is sump on VX V6 series one similar to any other models, ie vt, vs, vy etc
2. Can you get the sump off without pulling motor out?
3. Best place to buy a 2nd hand sump.

vt-vx sumps should be the same.
sump can be changed without pulling out engine.
what did she run over?
i did the same thing about a year ago in a shopping centre carpark, ran over like a conrete thing thats usauly at your front tyres when you park but it was in the middle of the carpark painted same colour as the lines, they had to pay for the repairs.

Thanks Lumina01, ran over one of those things that stop car going foward and out comes the oil so I'm presuming sump, unless oil filter hangs down a bit? I couldnt be that lucky, looks like another love job.

Unfortunately her fault.. wasnt too happy when I told her mine has a sump guard being an ex chaser, i wont curse it next time I do an oil change.

Can anyone else confirm vt and vx sumps are the same?

prety sure i got my sump off a vt.
gona do it yourself?
make sure you clean it all up proply dont want metal shavings in there, change gasket etc.

Yeah i nearly cracked mine going into a repco, had the crossing with a raised area in the centre, no way of seeing it as all concrete and i got stuck on it, lucky back wheels scraped me off but sump still ok. THey better off making the sump similar material to fuel tank, is it possible ?

Replace it

We've had them welded, but being cast alloy, it's tricky, and requires a very skilled welder.
