are you sure its from the motor? on first look it looks like the button and spring thats on the handbrake lever

Looks like a lighter, comes standard with most VS's. You will also find a pack of whinnie red's in the glovebox, and several bottle-o vouchers.
And that spring looks too big for a handbrake

Could be a part from a 1969 John deere tractor.....could also be a part from the space shuttle not knowing exactly where you found it means it could be anything considering the average car has 30,000+ parts
