94 V6 Commodore
Hi people. I have a 94 V6 Commodore that obviously has 130kw of power at the engine. I would like to increase the power to around 180kw at the engine. Just roughly an extra 50kws. What do you experts recommend?
Thanks

Boost, obviously supercharger?
How much increased kw would just the cam, cai, pacies & cat back create?

25 maybe, depending on the cam.

Boost is the best way to increase HP in the Buick. I have $2000 worth of upgrades and have probably have a 12KW increase, if I'm lucky. Without big money like $3k+, just on the engine the old Buick will never be a torque monster.
Mine goes ok but I need to aid the small amount of power it has. Next steps will be 3.45s and shift kit, I already have Vette servo and boost valve. Mace CAI, Hi ratio roller rockers, tune and Pacies.
On top of that I have spent probably $2k thereabouts on engine repairs, just replacing old worn out components. If it wasn't a tidy ute, which I hadn't already sorted out 20 or so common problems, I would have been way better off looking for VS with 304.

A stall convertor will also help. I have one on my V6 ute that I fitted a few months back. A V8 is the obvious choice but IMHO converting a V6 to V8 is not worth the time and cost, unless you pick up a cheap V8 write off and can swap all the parts over.

You only get around 170kw from a super 6 getting 180 your better off pissing the car off and buy a v8.
