When I got the car last year it was all there but very rough.
It looked ok from 10 meters but it was obvious to me that it will take a lot of work to get it looking and driving well.
This is my first Holden Commodore ever... hence silly questions here and there
I've owned many cars over the years Camaro's 78 z28 , 73 split bumber, couple of Torana's and even a Porsche 928 S4.
I sold the Porsche as it wasn't me.Great car but I like the smell and noise of the old school v8 engine.
Plus, I couldn't fit the kids in the back anymore..
I didn't want to build another muscle car ( I still have a 1968 Chevelle) so I told wifey next car I build, I am keeping..
I looked at LH LX Torana's but people were asking huge money for complete rust buckets.
The second option was to find a VB and build a tribute VC HDT.
This car came up, even though it needs the full resto , bones were good and it had a lot of good things going for it.
Factory v8, front and rear spoiler already on the car, strong 253 with bigger cam, manual, overall good suspension ,exhaust etc
Interior was horrible...
I've been building it now for 5 months and with these restrictions in place it is a bit hard but I've manged to get a lot of things done already
One thing that I loved about it is that, this car was signed on 2 places by Brocky himself.. so I guess it was meant to be.
Long live the king!
