Ve 06 exhaust

I got hotdogs on my sv6 ve and the sounds a bit too loud I’m wondering if I put the ss rear mufflers would I be able to connect and adjust how high the exhaust sounds , ppl have been telling me there’s adjustments u can make with the thing stuck on the rear muffler pipe
