Been having a couple of codes pop up and took my car to Holden. Have been advised that the Reluctor Wheel had slipped half a tooth. Holden have basically said cheaper to put a new engine in it than a new crank. They uploaded an update to the cars computer, and I got the car back with the warning light off. Went to start it today and it came on right away. Just wondering what options I have with this issue? The engine is great, heaps of power, no rattles at all. Just these codes turning on the engine warning light. I can clear the codes and go for a couple of hour drive and come back, no issue. Codes are gone for the whole trip. When I restart the car the light is back on. Apart from being told to just reset the codes each time, what realistic options are there to fix the reluctor wheel? Thanks in advance.
