It's the 6.0L. Isn't that what you've got?

Yep.... Graham Smith from Herald Sun emailed me again on friday night, he said he'd been given a VE SS ute to drive around and he noticed the 3-2 lag right away.
thx,

I hope it gets sorted for you soon.. I am having no issues yet with mine but i don't know if it's because it's paired to a 6.2L not a 6.0L LS2 like tommo's or the Holden 6.0L ?

"Customers may experience a delay in acceleration or
lack of performance from the automatic transmission
when exiting a corner. This may also be described by
the customer, as a flat spot or delayed shift and
generally will be reported at approximately 30-40kmh.
This condition only affects MY8.5 and MY09, V8 with 6
speed automatic transmissions."

there is a new Transmission Control Module program available to fix this problem. you need to get in contact with your local holdens dealer

that clunk could also be the type of oil in the trans, holden now recommend Dexron VI ATF in your trans, contact you dealer to find out more about the oil used.

"This updated ATF provides improvements in:
Shift quality
ATF life
Clutch friction stability
Clutch durability
In addition, the lubrication, oxidation,
foaming/aeration characteristics are all improved."

Looks like Tech Advice- Great Quote but confuses me as to why two of the major Holden Dealers in Melbourne seem unaware of it? I'll certainly raise it with them but can you advise source (without compromising yourself of course)

Thanks VERY much- much appreciated.

In VIC,

Was going to Dandenong Holden (not again though) and will be switching to Ferntree Gully Holden.

I'll vouch for FTG Holden, they take ages when it comes to servicing but they haven't done me wrong in fixing problems with my Holdens. I'd rather wait patiently for them to go over the problem and assess it properly than just handballing it to the next technician or dealership.

Last time I dealt with them was when my steering alignment was totally out of whack when I hit the fence with my tyre (long story). They got it perfect again and the 15,000km service was done to my satisfaction. All up it was under $500 for memory.. which is pretty good.
