Hey everyone, I’ve just had a electronic stability control off/ abs fault light come up on the dash of my 08 VE Omega, apparently it’s a common fault with the ve series 1, does anyone know what’s most likely the cause of it?

Check the wiring harness to the rear wheel speed sensors.

Post your problems in the VE section, not the VN/VP section. Probably get more help there.

Check abs connections on the hubs.

A low battery charge will also set this fault. It can be caused by an old battery not holding charge, an alternator that might be faulty or the charging system not doing its job.
There is a software update that Holden can do that can rectify this.

I had that, only once though.

Was a dirty MAF sensor.
Pulled it out, bit of contact cleaner - done

Get the codes scanned and will pin point the problem. Could be any number of things as said above. Wife's omega did the same. Got it scanned and found the rear wheel abs sensor was at fault. Changed that and all good. I know supercheap will scan the codes for you if you don't have your own.
